Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Policy") discloses the privacy practices of ADW Group, LLC ("ADW") and all websites owned or operated by ADW, including the monvee™ website. ADW believes it is very important to respect the privacy of our users, our business associates and all others who provide us with any personally identifiable information.

We collect two general categories of information: personally identifiable information ("PI") and non-personally identifiable information ("NPI"). PI consists of any information which can be used to specifically identify you as an individual, whereas NPI consists of Aggregate Information or any other information that does not reveal your personal identity.

Personal Information. When you register with or subscribe to monvee, we collect a wide variety of PI about you. For our Alpha and Beta monvee participants, for example, we ask that you provide us with your name, birthday, zip code, the Church you attend, the age of your youngest child, and certain other specific, personality-related and spiritual information about you. We do not currently ask you to provide your drivers license number, credit card data or social security number. However, depending on the requirements of our third party fulfillment partners in the future, credit card data may be captured to process products, materials and services recommended by monvee; you should consult with the privacy policies of such third party fulfillment partners before providing any such PI to such us for use by third parties.

Aggregate Information. In addition to the PI about you described above, we may collect Aggregate Information from you. "Aggregate Information" means information presented in summary or statistical form which does not contain data that would permit the identification of a specific individual without extraordinary effort. By providing any Aggregate Information to us, you acknowledge that we have the right to disclose such information to other users and third parties. The following sections of this Policy describe why and how we collect your PI and NPI, and how we may use and disclose such information.

We believe that it is important for us to collect PI from you so that we are able to optimize your experience when using our websites. We may collect your PI when:

1. You register with or subscribe to monvee;
2. We collect user data from focused surveys in which you have participated;
3. We solicit information from you on forms;
4. We follow up with you on your monvee assessment to better understand you; and
5. For a variety of other reasons not listed here.
If you provide us with your PI for any reason, we consider such information to be highly confidential and use it only as described in this Policy and as may be approved by you from time to time.

When we collect, use or disclose your PI we will obtain your consent to do so unless such permission is obvious or implied; e.g., when you register with or subscribe to monvee. If you would like to withdraw your consent for any reason and at any time, please contact us by email at: info@monvee.com.

We use your PI to provide you with the services or products for which you provided us with your information, and/or for those purposes considered reasonable under the circumstances. We are not in the business of selling your PI to third parties and only share PI with third parties as described in this Policy.

We may retain your PI for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which you gave it or for any legal or business purpose. When your information is no longer required by ADW, we have procedures in place to destroy it, delete it, or convert it to anonymous form.

ADW uses all reasonable efforts to keep your PI as accurate as reasonably possible so that it can continue to provide you with the products and services that you have requested. For this, we will need your assistance in maintaining the accuracy of your information. You may request a correction to your PI at any time by contacting us by email at: info@monvee.com.

PI That You Provide to Us. Much of the PI we receive comes directly from individuals who are interested in subscribing to Monvee or in obtaining various products and services from us. As mentioned earlier in this Policy, this information includes the user's name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number. We may also collect other types of information such as gender, age, number of children, and personal interests, which we may associate with PI. You may also provide us photographs or other video materials, which may contain PI. We may collect personal information when you register on, log on, or visit our websites, including when you participate in activities on our websites, such as events and conferences, and when you provide information to our support representatives. Our websites may also offer message boards, conversation pages, chat rooms, social community environments, profile pages, and other public forums as well as other features in which you may provide us with user submissions. If you provide PI when you use any of these features, that PI may be publicly posted and otherwise disclosed without limitation as to its use by a third party. Any specific rules regarding user submissions are described in the applicable terms of use or license agreement associated with such submissions. If you are able to purchase products or services from us or our fulfillment partners, we will collect credit card information, information on the type of services or products ordered or purchased, and the date of your order or purchase.

Information Collected By Technology. We also collect information using technology to make our sites more interesting and useful to you and for various purposes related to our business. For instance, when you come to one of our sites, we collect your IP address. An IP address is associated with the access point through which you enter the Internet, and is typically controlled by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), or depending on where you are using Monvee, your church, your university or your institution. By itself, your IP address is not personally identifiable. We may use IP addresses to collect information regarding the frequency with which users visit various parts of our sites, and we may combine IP addresses with PI. Our websites collect information through a variety of technical methods, including cookies and Web beacons. Cookies are pieces of information that a website sends to your computer while you are viewing the website. Web beacons are small pieces of data that are embedded in images on the pages of websites. Cookies, web beacons and other technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf.

We may use the information collected through these technologies for many purposes, including delivering content, tracking and enhancing users' experience on our websites. For example, when you return to one of our websites after logging in, cookies provide information to the site so that the site will remember who you are. We also may use technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns on our websites, such as the frequency with which our users visit various parts of our websites, and third party websites, such as the frequency with which our users visit other websites. In HTML e-mails that we send users, we may use technical methods for a number of purposes, including to determine whether users have opened or forwarded those e-mails and/or clicked on links in those e-mails, to customize the display of banner advertisements and other messages after a user has closed the e-mail, and to determine whether a user has made an inquiry or purchase in response to a particular e-mail. These technical methods may enable us to collect and use information in a form that is personally identifiable.

E-mails and Telephone Calls. We require an e-mail address from you when you register with monvee. We use your e-mail address to notify you about updates to monvee, enhancements made that might affect the outcome of the spiritual roadmap, surveys about your experiences with Monvee (an "opt-in"), and follow-up surveys about the road map (also an "opt-in"). If you would rather not receive promotional e-mails from us, please see the section below titled “Opt-Out Choices”. We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to monvee, such as service announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. We may also contact you by telephone (including to any wireless number you may provide to us) in connection with monvee. If you would rather not receive telephone calls from us, you may change or delete your number from your account page(s), or ask to be removed from our contact list if you receive a call from us. We fully comply with the requirements of the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

Demographic Data. Demographic data is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor your experience at our site. For example, the Web browser "Language Setting" will be used to set the language in which content is provided; English is the only selection available today, but in the future, this will likely change based upon this setting. Zip Code will be used to identify local opportunities for worship, service, or things of possible interest, and country. monvee will make use of "IP 2" location technology, that uses the IP address to determine the country and zip code of origin in connection with the content that we think users may be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences. Some of this information may be shared with advertisers on a non-personally identifiable basis.

Online Survey Data. We may periodically conduct voluntary user surveys. We encourage our users to participate in such surveys because they provide us with important information regarding the improvement of our services. You may also volunteer for certain surveys that we may offer to our users, and any additional rules regarding the conduct of such surveys will be disclosed to you prior to your participation. We do not link the survey responses to any PI, and all responses are anonymous.

Use for Research. In addition to the uses outlined above, by using our site, you agree to allow us to anonymously use the information from you and your experiences to continue our research efforts in the area of spiritual formation. In particular, monvee data will be used by spiritual formation and behavioral experts to help the Monvee team improve the results of the monvee assessment and better understand the "Body of Christ" as a whole. However, all of your responses will be kept anonymous, and no PI will be published.

ADW is committed to protecting your PI from unauthorized access or disclosure. In this, we do our best to maintain appropriate security both in our technology and our physical records. We also limit access to your information to individuals management determines need to know for the purpose of providing you with the requested products and services. We will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer and our servers, but given that no information transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet and hence accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.

Disclosures By Law. You acknowledge and agree that we may disclose information you provide if required to do so by law, or if we, in our sole discretion, believe that disclosure is reasonable to (1) comply with the law, requests or orders from law enforcement, or any legal process (whether or not such disclosure is required by applicable law); (2) protect or defend ADW’s, or a third party’s, rights or property; or (3) protect someone’s health or safety, such as when harm or violence against any person (including you) is threatened.

Disclosures to Protect Abuse Victims. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Policy or any monvee terms of use or license agreement, we reserve the right, but have no obligation, to disclose any information that you submit to the services, if in our sole opinion, we suspect or have reason to suspect, that the information involves a party who may be the victim of abuse in any form. Abuse may include, without limitation, elder abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. Information may be disclosed to authorities that we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate to handle such disclosure. Appropriate authorities may include, without limitation, law enforcement agencies, child protection agencies, or court officials. You hereby acknowledge and agree that we are permitted to make such disclosure.

Disclosures for Fulfillment Uses. ADW may use your PI to send you promotional materials about goods and service offerings offered by ADW or offered by third parties. These promotional materials may be sent to you by postal mail, e-mail or other means. You may opt out of receiving these communications as provided below. Please keep in mind, however, that when you purchase or request products or services (or information about products or services) from ADW, promotional materials about goods and services offered by a third party may accompany delivery of the product, service or information that you have requested. We refer to sending you promotional materials in these circumstances as "Fulfillment Uses" of your PI. Because these promotional materials accompany products, services or information that you have requested, your opt-out choices for ADW and third parties below will not apply to any of these Fulfillment Uses.

Disclosures for Operational Uses. ADW may also use your PI for many purposes other than sending you promotional materials. (We refer to all of these types of uses of your PI that do not involve the sending of promotional materials as "Operational Uses.") For example, we may use your information to complete transactions requested by you (such as your purchase of a product or service offered on our websites or websites of our third party suppliers or affiliates), or to send you administrative communications either about your Monvee subscription or about features of our websites, including any future changes to this Policy. Because these Operational Uses of your PI do not involve sending you promotional materials, your opt-out choices below will not apply to any of these Operational Uses.

Disclosures to Co-Branding Participants. In addition to using your PI within ADW, ADW may share your PI with companies that offer products and/or services that are co-branded using brand names of ADW. These companies are called "co-branding participants." When ADW shares PI with third parties acting as co-branding participants, these co-branding participants are restricted by contract from using the PI for any marketing or promotional purpose that is not related to a co-branded product or service. Finally, to further protect your privacy, these co-branding participants' use of PI shared with them under this Policy is subject to the same opt-out rights (and limitations upon those rights) that apply to use of PI by ADW below.

Disclosures to Third Parties for Promotional Purposes. Subject to your opt-out choices below, ADW may share your PI with selected third parties so that they can send you promotional materials about goods and services offered by them. (We call this type of sharing "promotional sharing" or sharing for "promotional purposes.") When sharing your PI for promotional purposes, ADW attempts to select only reputable companies that offer high quality products and services. Moreover, ADW will not share your e-mail address with third parties for promotional purposes, except when you consent to such sharing in connection with a "Sponsored Activity" (as hereinafter below). If ADW shares your PI with a third party under any circumstance described in this paragraph, your PI will become permanently subject to the information use and sharing practices of the third party, and the third party will not be restricted by this Policy with respect to its use and further sharing of your PI.

Disclosures in Connection With Sponsored Activities. In addition to the promotional sharing that is subject to your opt-out choices below, ADW may also share your PI when you engage in certain activities on our sites that are sponsored by third parties, such as purchasing products or services offered by a third party, electing to receive information or communications from a third party, or electing to participate in programs or events sponsored in whole or in part by a third party. ADW may also share your PI when you respond to promotional materials from ADW and authorize a third party to use your PI for purposes such as, for example, sending you additional promotional materials, providing you a product or service, or entering you in an event or program. (We refer to all of these activities and requests as "Sponsored Activities.") When you participate in Sponsored Activities, you will either be required or requested to agree that the sponsor or business associate may use your PI (including, in some cases, your e-mail address) in accordance with the sponsor or business associate's privacy practices. Since you will have consented to this specific instance of sharing of your PI, the opt-out choices described below will not apply.

Disclosures to Companies That Facilitate Communications and Transactions with You. Sometimes ADW hires companies to help provide products or services, such as an online shopping provider. In those instances, there is a need to share your information with these companies. ADW also works with other companies who help either gather your information or communicate with you, such as an Internet hosting services provider. Your opt-out choices will not apply to sharing by ADW of your PI with any of these companies. Nonetheless, except as separately permitted by other provisions of this Policy, these companies are allowed to gather, receive, and use your PI only for the purposes described in this paragraph or to facilitate compliance with laws.

Disclosures to Companies That You Previously Authorized to Obtain Your Information. In certain circumstances, your dealings with a third party may have authorized that third party to obtain your PI from ADW and to use that information in accordance with the third party's own privacy practices and policies. For example, in using an online shopping service (such as the shopping services offered by Internet portals that refer the portal's users to third-party merchants), you may have authorized that shopping service to obtain from the service's participating third-party merchants (including ADW) information about your purchases conducted through the shopping service. In such circumstances, your opt-out choices below will not apply to sharing of your PI by ADW. Nonetheless, ADW will provide such companies only the information that you authorized (except as separately permitted under other provisions of this Policy). In the example given above, the shopping service would be provided only information concerning purchases you made from ADW through that shopping service, and would not be provided any other information concerning you, unless any additional sharing of your PI were separately permitted under another provision of this Policy.

Information Transferred As a Result of Sale of Business. As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets and, depending on the transaction, your PI may be one of the transferred assets. In the event that we are acquired by another entity, your PI may be part of the assets transferred to the acquiring party. If this occurs, you will be notified if there are any material changes to the way your PI is collected or used.

We may use third-party advertising agencies or other service providers to serve ads on our website on behalf of monvee or third-party advertisers (e.g., retailers of goods or services). These companies may also employ cookies and/or web beacons to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you and to collect NPI about your visits to our websites and other websites in order to measure advertising effectiveness. We will only share your PI with third parties in the ways described in Section 9 of this Policy. However, please keep in mind that if you click on an advertisement on one of our websites and link to a third party's website, then this Policy will not apply to your PI collected on that third party's website and you must read the privacy policy posted on that site to see how your PI will be treated.

We do not target the monvee site or its services to any children under the age of 13 and, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), any PI we may receive from any users that we believe to be under the age of 13 will be promptly purged from our database. No PI from any such user will be collected, stored or disclosed.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (also known as the "Shine The Light" law) permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the PI (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of PI that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request by email to: info@monvee.com.
